From My Great Grandma

We all went out for lunch today with Kai and his Mommy and Daddy. I put Isabelle in a little sweater and hat that her Great Grandmother made many years ago. Grandma kept it for many years until a girl was born into the family. Isabelle never knew her Great Grandmother as she passed away 6 years ago. This little outfit will stay in our family and get passed down the generations.

My First Tooth!!

Isabelle and I went out to the library today and met up with Sarah and her Mommy. We were out having a coffee after and started talking about all the new things our little ones were up to lately. We talked about how they were probably getting really close to cutting teeth because of the excessive drooling and constant gnawing on everything in sight. Sure enough, I checked Isabelle's mouth when we got home and she has cut her first tooth at 28 weeks old (6-1/2 months). It is one of her bottom central incisors. Now we have to start using flouride when we brush at night. Happy Brushing Momomunchkin!!

Isabelle was eating prunes this evening for dessert and we decided to take a picture of her face after eating it because she looks like she just devoured a box of chocolates. :o)

We bought Isabelle this ball the other day and she loves it when we pass it to her. Problem is is she doesn't pass it back, instead she insists on trying to shove the entire thing in her mouth and after a while she gets upset because it just doesn't fit.

I don't remember giving birth to triplets?!?! :o) Isabelle sure loves the mirror these days. She's always expressed an interest but lately she loves it when you put her in front of the bathroom mirror because she can see more than one reflection of herself. If I let her, she could probably entertain herself for hours.

Play Date At Cassie-Anne's

Isabelle and I were invited over to Cassie-Anne's house for a play date this afternoon. There were 9 babies with their moms there in total. Isabelle slept for most of the play date but she had fun playing with all her friends when she actually was awake. Cassie-Anne and Isabelle even played a little game of "Pass the soother." :o) Thanks so much for having us over!! (I forgot my camera again today so thanks again to Ben's Mom for the great photos)

To The Optometrist!!

Isabelle had her first eye exam this morning. Her eyes are just fine and like most babies, a little far sighted. She was pretty good during the exam but started getting cranky near the end because I made the appointment around her first nap time. Silly me, I should know better by now. She doesn't need to go back until she is 18 months old.

Story Time With Kai

Kai was reading 101 Dalmatians to Ben and Isabelle today at Mother Goose. As you can see in the picture below, Cassie-Anne decided to join in while Kai was busy telling the story.

Shots Again?!?!?

Isabelle had her 6 month check-up this morning. She is doing really well and is in the 95th percentile for her height, weight, and head size. She got another 3 immunization shots as well. This photo was taken shortly after we got home while she was still happy but she was in a lot of pain later on in the day when her leg started to hurt. Poor Momomunchkin but her next shots aren't until she's a year old!!

Uncle Terry And Auntie Manon

Uncle Terry and Auntie Manon came for a short visit today while they had a short layover in Vancouver. They live in Ottawa and they were taking a short business trip to Maui. It was so great to see them because we don't get to visit with them often. We'll see them in about another 7 months when we go to Ottawa for their wedding. See you soon!!

Isabelle and I went over to Ariel's place today for a play date. Isabelle had lots of fun playing in Ariel's play corner and I'm sure she enjoyed all the tasty toys. Thank you very much for having us over!

Another Fun Day At Mother Goose

Isabelle and I went to another Mother Goose session today. We sang songs and had snacks and Isabelle had a chance to play with her friends, Ben and Cassie-Anne. Isabelle seems to have lost the stranger anxiety and was all smiles today for everybody. It's great and we all hope that she's over that phase. I forgot my camera today so many thanks to Ben's Mom for the great photos.

Isabelle has changed so much in the last little while. When we came back from Nanaimo early last week, she all of a sudden started making all the sounds like she had been listening to us say them to her for the past month and was finally relieved to be able to repeat it. It's quite messy when she says the Bbbbbb sound when she's eating but she thinks it's funny.

Grandma Visits Us

Grandma came over for a visit on Thursday and Friday from Salt Spring Island. Isabelle hasn't seen her in a while but it didn't take her long to have fun with Grandma. Miss you already Grandma!
