Big Delay
Just wanted to let everyone know that I am still working on Isabelle's second year blog. There has been a big delay because our little Munchkin has been very sick for the past week.
It started out as a little cold but then progressed into 3 days of very high fever along with diarrhea and vomiting. Not pleasant, I know. We even took her to Emergency on Friday night to make sure that it wasn't anything serious. They ended up taking a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia (they strapped her in this brace and she was hysterical...I don't recommend watching). There was nothing wrong with the x-ray and the doctor's couldn't tell us anything so they sent us home. We endured several sleepless nights to keep control of her fever and that was about all we could do.
Today, she finally seems to be on the road to recovery. Her fever has gone down significantly and she actually had some solid food today and kept it all down. She still has a pretty bad cough and horrible nasal congestion but she is in better spirits. She is a little trooper and we hope that the worst of this virus has past.

We're Moving...
We're not actually moving anywhere. I am working on Isabelle's new blog for her journey through her second year. I hope to have it up and running by next week. Please be patient and I will back post to her birthday. Thanks for waiting and we'll see you all soon!!

1 Year Old Today!!
Hard to believe that Isabelle is a year old already!! Over the past year, we've watched a helpless little baby grow into a little girl with lots of personality.
We took her to her 1-year check-up this morning and she now weighs 23 lbs 2 oz and is 75 cm tall. She also had her 3 immunization shots (all in the arm) and she was pretty brave, only crying in the doctor's office and was completely fine for the rest of the day (I know it's cruel to do that to her on her birthday).

We got a little piece of cake for her from Anna's Cake House (best cake in the Universe) and let her try to make a mess of herself. She seemed to thoroughly enjoy it although she was very hesitant at first. As you can see from the picture above, the first thing she went for were the pieces of fruit. :o)
Happy 1st Birthday Momomunchkin!! You're almost a walking Munchkin!
