Wigglebean's First Birthday!

"What's going on??"

"Look at my pretty pink balloon!"

Today, we went to Queen's Park for Wigglebean's 1st birthday party. It was a beautiful day for the park and the babies really enjoyed themselves. It was a Winnie-the-Pooh theme party and we all had lots of food to eat. We even watched some of the babies run around (or run away) and other babies crawl all over the place. We really had a lot of fun. Thanks to Wigglebean's Mom for the great party and thanks for having us. Hope Miss S had a wonderful first birthday!

Beating The Heat

We bought a little pool for Isabelle today. It's been so hot the last little while that we thought it would be a great way to stay cool. She loves kicking her legs and splashing her hands to get water everywhere. Good thing we can set it up on our little deck.

Billy The Goat

Daniel checking out Isabelle's sandal.

Isabelle and I met up with some friends from our prenatal class today for a picnic in the park. Daniel, Olivia, and Ethan were all there enjoying the nice warm weather with their Mommies. After lunch, we headed over to the petting zoo. Isabelle had a nice surprise visit from a goat that came over and actually climbed up onto her stroller. I think I was more afraid than Isabelle was because I didn't know what the goat was going to do. :o) I guess he was just coming over to check out if Isabelle had any food in her snack tray.

"Hello there Billy..."

"I'm sorry but I don't have any food for you."

Feeding The Ducks

We all went to Deer Lake Park today after FraserFest to feed the ducks with Kai and his Mommy and Daddy. Isabelle really liked watching the ducks and ducklings eat the bird seeds. As you can see from the picture below, she was watching the birds very intently. It was a beautiful day today and I ended up getting a little too much sun.

My New Coconut!

I went out to get Isabelle her first bike helmet today. It came with some knee pads and a cute little bike "horn" that she is holding in the picture above. We put the bike helmet and the knee pads on her to take a picture but you can clearly see that she is not too impressed with the helmet. She got really angry because she couldn't pull it off like she normally does with her hats. She didn't seem to mind the knee pads though. Since we're volunteering next weekend for the Central Valley Greenway ride, I hope she wears it without any problems.

My, my, you have a very large cranium!

11 Months Old Today!!

Isabelle turned 11 months old today!! One more month and she'll be a year old...I just can't believe how fast the time has gone. She can do so much these days and it's so cool to teach her or show her something and have her mimic it. The picture above, is of her throwing her diapers around but she is not holding onto anything. She has started to really stand on her own and she will occasionally let go of things and raise her arms up in the air. Most of her best standing efforts happen when she is focused on something else and she can do it for 10-20 seconds!!

Kai's First Birthday

Isabelle pushing Kai on his ride along car. The car plays music when you press the horn so they were both dancing on the spot every time it played.

Today was Kai's first birthday party. There were quite a few babies/toddlers at the party and they even played a fun game. They each got a brand new box of tissue paper and they all had to race to empty it. It was really difficult to keep the babies focused on the game but I think Isabelle did pretty well. She spotted some food about halfway through her tissue box and she completely lost focus. It made a huge mess in the living room but it was lots of fun!!

I forgot my camera again so I didn't get any photos of the actual party but Kai's Mommy sent me these pictures of Isabelle and Kai hanging out after the party. We ended up staying for dinner. Thanks for having us over and hope Kai had a great day!

Harrison Hot Springs

Jiichan and Baachin took Isabelle and I to Harrison Hot Springs for one night. Isabelle really enjoyed herself and she just couldn't get enough of the nice warm water. I think we may have to take a trip out there again sometime...maybe on Daddy's next holiday. :o) Thanks Jiichan and Baachin for taking us, we had a lot of fun!

"Splash, splash, splash!"

Jiichan and Isabelle out for a walk on the beach.

Walk, Baby, Walk!

We bought this walker/ride along toy for Isabelle yesterday and she is enjoying it but it is still too dangerous for her to use alone. When it is a walker, it rolls too fast for her and she can't keep up, so we have to hold it for her so it doesn't run away on her. I'm sure she'll get the hang of it soon enough.

Farmer Pickle

We met up with Wigglebean and her Mommy today at the mall to enjoy the nice air conditioning. We did a little shopping and walked around to find some great bargains. At one store, I found this cute little hat that made Isabelle look like a little farmer. Although I didn't get the hat for her, I thought it was appropriate to call her Farmer Pickle since Grandma and Grandpa have the Picklespatch farm on Salt Spring Island. :o)

Waiting For Dinner

"I'm just going to read this magazine while you get dinner ready. Hmm...I see, so this is the latest toy on the market that I should get Mommy and Daddy to get me."

"Is dinner ready yet?"
