Feeding Herself

Isabelle has finally figured out how to feed herself. I should have let her try a lot earlier but I was postponing it because I was afraid of her choking on finger foods. Well, for the past couple of days, she's been practicing and she's gotten quite good. She's very proud of her accomplishments too...you'll see in the video. Way to go Momomunchkin!!

Stop It Daddy!!!

"Hahahahahaha...that tickles!!"

Riding On A Really Scary-Looking Bunny

Isabelle, Daddy, and I went out for a walk to enjoy the sunshine today. We ended up at the local shopping mall to pick up a few things before we headed home. We came across this really scary-looking bunny ride but I wanted to put Isabelle on it just to get a picture. We didn't actually run the ride but she sat there happily and waved to a nice lady that walked by.

"Hi-Ho Silver...away!!"

Meeting With The UN

"Mr. Bear, we need to discuss the issue concerning some of my toys..."

Isabelle had an early morning meeting with a United Nations Ambassador, Mr. Bear. Actually, she's really grown to like this bear that she got from her Uncle Jimmy (he's not really an Uncle but a long time friend to Mommy and Daddy). When Uncle Jimmy was overseas in the Golan Heights on a UN Tour, he sent her this little bear at Christmas time. She was a little frightened by it at first but now she likes to play with him during the day. It's pretty funny though because it has a US Army camoflauge shirt with a Canadian flag on the shoulder. Maybe Mommy and Daddy should've given a tailor some of their Army combats to make some bear-sized ones!

Like My New Do?

"Not too sure if I like the new do..." *sigh*

I guess Isabelle's hair is naturally a little curly. I usually put a little water in her hair and brush it straight but when it dries, you can see a little bit of a wave in it. Today was a beautiful, warm day and I think she was sleeping pretty hot during her nap because her hair was quite damp from perspiration. She woke up from her nap looking like this because I brushed it with my hands while she was sleeping. Her Daddy and I both got a good chuckle when she got up. She's like a different baby. :o)

"I guess it's not so bad."

Good Morning Sunshine!

Cassie-Anne's 1st Birthday

Cassie-Anne celebrated her first birthday today and she had a little party with a Strawberry Shortcake theme. It was really cute! Isabelle decided to have a nap half-way through the party but she was awake near the end to have a little snack and play with her friends. Thanks for inviting us. Happy 1st Birthday Cassie-Anne!!

Pulling Up

Just before bed time today, Isabelle decided that she could pull herself up from the sitting position up to the coffee table. She'd been practicing a little bit with Daddy but this time she did it on her own. She is still extremely wobbly while standing on her own and she doesn't always pull herself up on the first try but it's a start.

Pooped After Swimming

Isabelle misses her morning nap because of swimming so this is her crashing when we get home.

Isabelle has been taking Water Babies classes twice a week in the morning for the past 3 weeks. She really didn't like it at first and cried in the pool for most of the lesson. We considered taking her out of the class because we thought that it might traumatize her but we were advised by several friends and family to keep working at it. Well, we were persistent and it seems to have worked...she was actually smiling at the pool during her lesson today!!

Ariel's 1st Birthday

Isabelle having fun in the exersaucer.

Daddy, Isabelle, and I went out to Ariel's 1st birthday party today. It's hard to believe how fast our kids are growing up. It was a potluck dinner and we had some really tasty food. Isabelle was displaying how much fun she was having by spending a lot of time clapping and she even managed to pop a balloon with her bare hands (I think it's time to cut her nails again!!) Thank you so much for inviting us. Happy 1st Birthday Ariel!!

Visiting Family In Nanaimo

Auntie Hiroko holding Momochan

Isabelle and I got back from Nanaimo on Saturday afternoon. We had a nice relaxing visit with Baachin and Jiichan in Nanaimo. While we were there, Isabelle's Cousins and Auntie came up from Victoria for a short visit. I tried to get more pictures but Isabelle has been extremely clingy to me lately and it is quite difficult to get a good picture of her without her struggling to be back in my arms. By the end of the visit, she was just starting to get used to being alone with Baachin and Jiichan. I guess it's tough when we can't see relatives as often as we'd like to. We had fun anyway, see you all again soon.

See You Soon

Isabelle and I are off to Nanaimo to visit Baachin and Jiichan tomorrow for a few days. We are leaving right after her Water Babies class, which she isn't really enjoying but that's a whole other story to share another day. We'll be back to post on the weekend so check back next week. See you all again soon!!

Such A Little Girl

Isabelle is getting to be so big now. She will be 8 months old next Monday and it's so hard to believe how much she has changed. Her hair is even long enough to put little clips into them. Today she received an early birthday present from her Auntie Sara because she was worried Isabelle wouldn't fit it by the time her 1st birthday rolled around. Well, we tried it on her and the shirt was a little snug so I'll be going out to exchange it for a size 2T!! Yup, you read it right...a 2T!!! Our 8-month old daughter can now officially fit into some types of toddler clothing. Kinda scary to think how big she'll be when she actually hits toddler age. Thank you Auntie Sara for such a cute outfit.

My New Table

Still can't stand up to play with her new toy but she still manages.
